Biological Testing

We can help identify the source of mould and bacteria problems.

Bacteria and mould in buildings can be a very serious problem because of the various health risks associated with exposure. It can also cause building materials and property to decay and rot.

Identifying the problem and remediating the property can lead to improved air quality and health of the occupants as well as stopping the ongoing degradation of your property and belongings.

Types of Tests We Can Perform

We perform a range of testing in regards to bacteria and mould with testing tailored to your individual needs. Turnaround time for reports is two weeks from when sampling takes place.

Moisture Testing
Building materials are tested to identify areas of elevated moisture which indicate possible sources, locations of leaks and areas where mould is likely to be present.

Surface Sampling

Sampling visible mould on surfaces will indicate the species of micro-organisms present. From this we are able to provide information on potential health or building issues that can develop. Samples are gathered using tape or swabs and then sent to a lab for analysis.

Air Sampling

Mould spores within the air are indicators of active mould growth. We can determine the species and indicative concentrations of micro-organisms present and provide information on health and potential building issues.

Air samples are gathered from areas of concern. One outdoor air sample is also gathered as a reference point. Samples are then sent to a lab for analysis.
