Workplace Air Quality Testing - Chemicals

K2 Environmental is able to test for a large range of chemicals in a home or workplace situation. These chemicals may be causing people in your home or workplace to experience problems such as allergies, headaches or migraines, vomiting, sore eyes and various other problems.

Examples of chemicals that K2 can test for:-

  • aldehydes including formaldehyde and gluteraldehyde
  • organic compounds as found in solvents
  • welding fumes
  • foundary fumes
  • organic fumes
  • ozone from printing and photocopiers
  • isocyanates from resins and paints
  • fumes from spray painters
  • compounds causing odour
  • cleaning compounds fumes

Workplace Air Test - Other Chemicals

K2 Environmental is able measure what is in the air for a wide range of other contaminants. Some mesurements canbe made electronically or by capturing a sample on a sample media. Samples can be gathered by attaching samplers to individuals (personal sampling) or sampling in a fixed location (static sampling)

Mercury Testing

Recent reports have shown mercury in lightbulbs has a potiental to be a health risk. Mercury has been shown in a number of publications to have long lasting effects. There is a potiental for this to be a workplace hazard. K2 Environemtnal has the skills and methods to perform air sampling in the workplace or home for mercury.

Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are widely used in diverse applications.

Mercury is found in thermometers, barometers and thermostats. These instruments take advantage of mercury’s uniform temperature-dependent volume expansion over a broad temperature range. Inhalation exposure to mercury is usually to vapors of the elemental form. Mercury is a liquid at room temperature and gives rise to a mercury vapor readily.
