Air discharge testing is used when you need
to know what is being discharged from a stack or chimney. The
species of interest may be a gas, solid or as steam.
Air Sampling Process
To perform an air discharge or stack test:-
- A sample of the discharge is gathered by drawing air from a stack into
sample train.
- Data is collected at the same time.
- The samples are analyzed in a laboratory.
- The report combines all data gathered on site and laboratory results.
Sampling from a stack can take from one hour to many days depending on the
nature of the discharge and what sampling is required.
What can be Sampled/Measured/Analyzed by K2 Environmental ?
K2 Environmental Ltd will use standard methods. Most methods used are United
States Environmental Proctection Agency (USEPA) and ISO methods. K2 Environmental
is ISO17025 accredited for most air discharge methods it uses.
